Bruno Senna feels that he is "maturing" as a driver at Williams in 2012.
The Brazilian finished 7th in China last weekend, his second consecutive points finish. Bruno is convinced that he is growing and improving as a driver. In 2010 he raced for the struggling HRT team, limiting his abilities. For the next year he took up the role as Lotus Renault GP's reserve driver before being promoted to a race drive later in the year, however the car lost pace and he struggled to match the midfield runners.
Senna told Autosport The amount of pressure is different [at Williams], and it's a very different type of pressure, I know I have to perform, I know I have to be on top of my game, but these guys give me a great chance to develop, to learn, teaching me as much as they can. We are growing together. They are giving me a great chance and I'm trying everything I can to help develop the car."
Williams had a disastrous year in 2011, claiming just 5 points. This year they have already surpassed that number, with both Senna and Maldonado showing improvement. It was a great race for the Grove based team as their Team Principal Frank Williams celebrated his 70th Birthday over the Chinese Grand Prix weekend, Maldonado's 8th and Senna's 7th place finishes being a welcome present.
