piston

It is the moving component that is contained by a cylinder and is made gas-tight by piston rings.

lift

a device, often powered hydraulically, for raising a vehicle so that the underside is accessible for inspection and repair.

oil filter

An oil filter is a filter designed to remove contaminants from engine oil, transmission oil, lubricating oil, or hydraulic oil.

valve

The valves that allow the air/fuel mixture to enter the engine's combustion chambers.

eye wash station

Emergency eye wash equipment is used to drench or flush the eyes with water when dust, irritants, or chemicals enter the eye.

camshaft

a shaft with one or more cams attached to it, especially one operating the valves in an internal combustion engine.

crankshaft

a shaft consisting of a series of cranks and crankpins to which the connecting rods of an engine are attached.

cylinder

It houses the piston, which travels up and down in the cylinder to compress the air/fuel mixture and produce power.

Mike Sharpe (Chief Operating Officer, INTIPSA -- the International Intellectual Property Strategists Association) has let it be known that the organisation is hosting a webinar on Tuesday 17 January, entitled "Brands, Tax and Finance". He promises:

"We’ll be discussing IP tax regimes, transfer pricing and the IP issues around offshoring of brands. Panellists: Steef Huibregtse of Transfer Pricing Associates, Anne Fairpo of Atlas Chambers [and the IP Finance weblog] and Serena Tierney, former Head of IP at O2, Telefónica, Disney and Diageo [though not all at the same time ...]".
