Mclaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button will sit out of testing at Mugello in May, the only mid-season test available.
The British team will run their reserve drivers Gary Paffett and Olivier Turvey at the 3 day test. It will get underway on the 1st of May and will see Turvey and Paffett share driving duties in the MP4-27.
While most teams are expected to bring their drivers to the test, Mclaren have takes a different route. They will take part in crucial development and update testing work on track. The team have complete faith in the 2 drivers, both of whom have driven for Mclaren in the young driver tests.
Mclaren's Twitter page @TheFifthDriver tweeted "Our #MugelloTest line-up: ever-popular testers @GaryPaffett and Oliver Turvey will share the driving. Say hi to both if you're there!" and " That means @JensonButton and @LewisHamilton won't be at Mugello - but our testers are fantastic and will love their first taste of MP4-27! "
